Barça Set to Play Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA to play their next home Champions League game facing Eintracht next month at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
