British tennis star Emma Raducanu wraps up this year's campaign and will keep coach through next year.

Raducanu advanced to round three in three out of four Grand Slam events in the current campaign.

Britain's Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the last two tournaments in 2025 due to the illness that has affected her in recent days.

At 22 years old was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to regain her health prior to beginning next year's training.

These plans will involve her coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together in 2026.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring during her first-round match against Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on a day with extreme humidity.

She again required a visit from the doctor at the recent Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.

She was also playing far from freely in the third set in the match with Zhu owing to a lower back issue that has been a concern during parts of the season.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the top 30 globally after more than three years since her previous ranking, ended with three successive defeats.

She held three match points prior to falling to Jessica Pegula in the third stage in last month's Beijing event.

The player achieved twenty-eight matches this year and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami Open in March.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, beating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

She was coached by trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role ahead of the US Open.

The initial agreement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but the partnership will continue, with a training block pencilled in late this year.

She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as they tried to keep the meeting secret.

She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their initial event as a team in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
