Explosion Claims Three Law Enforcement Officers While Executing Eviction Action in Italy

Three police officers perished and at least 15 additional individuals got wounded in what appears to be intentional blast caused by gas at a farmhouse in the northern part of Italy.

How It Happened

The detonation occurred as law enforcement and fire personnel approached the residence close to the Verona region to carry out an removal notice for a brother and sister trio in their late 50s and mid-60s.

Each of the three victims who died served in the Carabinieri military police.

Investigation Developments

One male and one female got detained at the site and a third person who ran away subsequent to the incident was apprehended shortly later. All three have been transported to hospital.

The blast could be audible as far as 3 miles distant and images from the area revealed the property reduced to a heap of debris.
