Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The firm declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

To date, he has released in excess of 40 works in total, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
