Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.
The charges follow an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was among those injured during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were subsequently released.
The incident – described by police as was isolated and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
